Managing Ash Dieback with a Professional Tree Reduction in Cheadle

The ProArb Tree Services team spent a hot Saturday in Cheadle carrying out a substantial reduction on a mature ash tree showing clear signs of Ash Dieback (Hymenoscyphus fraxineus).

Following our inspection, we recommended a significant crown reduction to remove affected growth, reduce stress on the tree and minimise the risk of future branch failure. While Ash Dieback cannot be cured, carefully managed pruning can sometimes help retain a tree for longer where it is still structurally suitable to do so.
